Depew
MONTICELLO – Wallkill Town Supervisor Daniel Depew will be resigning
in one month to become Sullivan County’s first deputy county manager.
The Sullivan County Legislature on Thursday voted to place Depew in
that position. He will be working with County Manager Joshua Potosek.
Depew said the job change is an opportunity he could not turn down.
He began his career in government 15 years ago as an Orange County legislator
and has served as town supervisor for the last 5 ½ years.
It is expected that Town Councilman Eric Valentin will serve as acting
supervisor through the end of the year.
