NEW WINDSOR – Developers of a 125-room extended stay Residence Inn hotel in the Town of Wallkill are seeking financial incentives from the Orange County Industrial Development Agency.
The incentive application for Orange Tower Drive, LLC was accepted for review by the IDA at its meeting on Thursday.
Developers of the $19 million project are seeking sales tax exemption on building materials and exemption from paying mortgage filing fees.
The hotel will go up on a six-acre parcel adjacent to a new Tractor Supply Company retail store, across from a Hannaford supermarket.
Before the exemptions are approved, a public hearing will be held by the IDA.
The board also accepted the initial application for a 10-year PILOT, sales tax exemption and mortgage filing fees for the 18 Route 17K, LLC crane company in the Town of Newburgh.
