HUNTER – State Police do not believe there was any foul play involved
in the death of a skier at Hunter Mountain Ski Center.

State Police said Zachary Thompson, 20, of Cream Ridge, New Jersey on
the Racers Edge trail, a double black diamond – expert – trail
on the mountain when he lost control and slid before leaving the trail
and striking several trees.

He was removed by the ski patrol and treated by Greene County Paramedics
and Hunter Ambulance Corps personnel before being pronounced dead.

Troopers believe the death was an accident, although an autopsy will be
performed.
