Two big rigs tangle, closing the westbound lanes
EAST FISHKILL – An early Saturday morning crash between two tractor-trailers on Interstate 84 in East Fishkill resulted in a shutdown of the highway in that area for some time. One of the trailers rolled over down a hill.
State Police said at about 3:30 a.m., a tandem tractor-trailer rear-ended another tractor-trailer in the westbound lanes between exits 15 and 16.
Minor injuries were reported.
The westbound lanes of the highway were closed during recovery and investigation with traffic diverted to Route 52, causing backups on that road.
