DOBBS FERRY – Work has completed on the first phase of the project to repair and update the Embassy Community Center in Dobbs Ferry. Mayor Hartley Connett said the work included construction and engineering work to repair and shore up the north wall of the building.
The next phase of the work will focus on the completion of design plans for a “significant upgrade to the interior space and external façade of the building,” the mayor said.
For that work, the village has retained a professional design team with expertise in municipal facilities. Connett said the Recreation Commission, the Facilities Committee and the Building Department are working on design plans for a new and expanded facility.
The project is “a major priority for the village administration,” Connett said.
