Sullivan woman arrested after stealing vehicle, almost striking patrol car

MONTICELLO — Police in Monticello have arrested a Kiamesha Lake woman
after she was driving in a stolen car on Forestburg Road in the village
and made a sudden and improper U-turn across the path of a police officer,
who was driving in a marked patrol car nearly colliding with it.

Lisa Marie Lee, 33, was arrested and charged following the Tuesday incident
with grand larceny, criminal possession of stolen property, driving while
ability impaired by drugs, reckless endangerment, criminal possession
of a controlled substance, aggravated unlicensed operation and reckless
driving.

After the incident, Lee was stopped immediately by officers. While they
were identifying Lee, officers learned the vehicle she was driving had
just been reported stolen from in front of a Broadway business. The owner
had left the keys in the car.

Lee was also found in possession of 14 Suboxone sublingual films and operating
with a suspended Pennsylvania driver’s license.

She was arraigned and remanded to the Sullivan County Jail in lieu of
$5,000 cash bail.
