Westchester man indicted in collision death

WHITE PLAINS – A Yonkers man was arraigned in Westchester County Court on Wednesday on two counts of felony vehicular manslaughter and one misdemeanor count of aggravated driving while intoxicated in connection with the death of another man.
The victim, Pedro Martinez, was driving on Palmer Road in Yonkers at 9:20 p.m. on August 11 when Liam Perry, 23, was driving in the opposite direction. Perry’s car crossed the double yellow line and struck the victim’s car head on.
Martinez later died.
Perry’s blood alcohol content was .27 percent.
Perry pled not guilty to the charges and is being held in lieu of $25,000 cash or bond.  If convicted, he could face a maximum of 15 years in state prison.
