KINGSTON – By a seven-to-two vote Tuesday night, the Kingston Common Council adopted a $41.5 million city spending plan for 2017. The tax levy stays the same as that in the 2016 budget at $17.6 million with property taxes decreasing slightly.
Council Minority Leader Deborah Brown and Democratic Alderwoman Maryann
Mills both voted against the budget.
Mayor Steven Noble, who crafted his first budget with amendments from the council, is expected to sign it.
