FAIRVIEW – A 63-year-old woman, who lived in a Town of Poughkeepsie
apartment complex, has been charged with setting fire to her apartment
on November 22.
Town Police said Wednesday that Suzanne Tucker was uncooperative and continued
to remain in her apartment even though there was an active fire. Fairview
firefighters, who battled the flames, called police to the scene because
she would not leave.
Investigation determined she had intentionally set two separate fires
in her apartment.
Tucker was arraigned on charges of felony arson and reckless endangerment
and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail
or $50,000 bond.
