TOWN OF LLOYD – Police in the Town of Lloyd are investigating a
personal injury accident in which a 15-year-old girl was struck while
walking along South Chodikee Lake Road in Highland.
Police said a 51-year-old Highland man was driving south on South Chodikee
Road around 7 p.m. when he struck the Poughkeepsie resident. She was flown
to Westchester Medical Center with serious head and leg injuries and was
listed in critical condition, police said.
The road was closed for some five years while police investigated.
Lloyd Town Police were assisted by State Police, their Collision Reconstruction
Unit, Highland Fire Department and Mobile Life Support Services.
