Poughkeepsie man arrested for trying to sneak drugs into prison

CATSKILL – A Poughkeepsie man has been arrested for allegedly trying to bring drugs into the Greene Correctional Facility.
Raequan Small, 28, was charged with two counts of promoting prison contraband as misdemeanors and one count of violation of the state sanitary code.
Troopers said Small entered the prison with approximately 10 grams of synthetic marijuana, 46 miscellaneous pills that he attempted to pass to an inmate. They consisted of Trazodone, Oxcarbazepine, Naproxen, Hydrochlorthiazide, Lisinopril and Fluozetine. None of those are controlled substances.
Small was issued appearance tickets returnable to local court.
State Police were assisted in their investigation by New York State prison officials.
