WHITE PLAINS – A Yonkers man was sentenced in Westchester County Court on Thursday to 12 years in state prison in connection with the beating of a man who was dating his ex-girlfriend.
Blake Natal, 33, previously pled guilty to burglary and assault as felonies.
On November 22, 2015, at 10 p.m., he entered his ex-girlfriend’s apartment without her permission and in violation of an order of protection, kicked open the bathroom door and repeatedly punched a man who had locked himself in the room.  Natal beat the man so badly that he suffered a traumatic brain injury, a spinal fracture and a laceration to the back of his head. His injuries resulted in severe cognitive and physical impairment, said Acting District Attorney James McCarty.
Three days after the attack, Natal again violated the order of protection by calling his former girlfriend telling her that he was coming to Yonkers to finish the job he started, causing her to feel threatened and fear for her safety.
