Fatal house fire in Middle Hope

MIDDLE HOPE – A woman, believed to be the owner of a home in the
Middle Hope section of the Town of Newburgh, died early Friday evening
in a fire at 115 Oak Street.

Firefighters from a number of departments fought the two-alarm blaze,
which remains under investigation by Orange County and Town of Newburgh
officials.

The identity of the victim has not been made public.
