ALBANY – Hudson Valley residents who work for the state and are members of the Public Employees Federation have a new contract.
The PEF, which represents 54,000 employees, inked a new three-year pact.
The contract includes a two percent increase in 2016-17, two percent increase in 2017-18, and a two percent increase in 2018-19.  Both the state and PEF have agreed to work together on a plan to reduce “out-of-control” healthcare costs.
The contract must be approved by the PEF Executive Board and ratified by membership.
