NEW WINDSOR – An inbound Delta Air Lines plane reported a bird strike during the approach to land on Runway 9 at Stewart Airport on Sunday.
At about 2:17 p.m., the pilot reported the strike during the landing phase. No damage was reported, a Port Authority spokeswoman said Tuesday.
An FAA strike report was filed and a snarge sample (remains of a bird) was provided to a USDA biologist for examination.
