Fallsburg Police K-9, handler earn national certification

SOUTH FALLSBURG – Fallsburg Police Department K-9 Maus and Officer Christopher Rosa have earned national certification with the North American Police Working Dog Association.
A national certification has extremely high standards, aiding to the credibility of the K-9 team in future court cases. The certification standards have been upheld in the criminal justice system.
The narcotics certification was earned following a four-day event in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
Maus and Rosa will attend the national event in Massachusetts next spring to earn the ranking of “Police Utility Dog.”
