STONE RIDGE – Dr. Alan Roberts will be inaugurated as the sixth
president of SUNY Ulster on Friday, October 7. The 1 p.m. ceremony will
be held at Quimby Theater on the Stone Ridge campus.
Roberts has chosen a theme of “Growing. Going. Global,” representing
his articulation of the college’s aspirations for the future, including
a commitment to institutional growth, innovation, and a responsibility
to the students and the region to provide the education necessary to success
in an evolving global economy.
Roberts was named college president in mid-2015 following the retirement
of Dr. Donald Katt.
