California man guilty of killing Rockland resident

NEW CITY – A Vacaville, California man faces 25 years to life in state prison after being found guilty by a Rockland County Court jury of murder.     
Dylan Lentini, 19, was convicted of killing Michael Wimbert of West Nyack.  On December 1, 2015, at about 1:45 in the morning, Lentini broke into Wimbert’s home at 68 Demarest Avenue, attacking the victim, stabbing him 30 times, killing him.
Lentini will be sentenced on November 29.  He remains in the Rockland County Jail.   
“The defendant has been convicted of a violent and heinous crime,” said District Attorney Thomas Zugibe. “This was an extremely brutal attack.”
