MONROE – A warrant search on an apartment in the Village of Monroe resulted in the arrest of a couple on drug charges.
Monroe Police and State Police Narcotics Enforcement Team members had been investigating a report of drugs being sold from the residence and an undercover officer had bought heroin on several occasions from two people who lived there.
Arrested during the August 30 raid were Robert Colquhoun, 40, and his girlfriend, Leigh Pupps, 29, both of Monroe. Police said Colquhoun is a two-time convicted felony and is currently on parole.  Both were charged with several counts of criminal sale and possession of a controlled substance and were sent to the Orange County Jail.
During the raid, Monroe Police also seized Pupps’ 2015 Honda Accord.  A police K-9 conducted a search indicating something suspicious in the trunk. The search revealed a safe with 82 bundles of heroin, Suboxone strips and drug paraphernalia.
