MONROE – A man armed with a switchblade knife was arrested when he attempted to steal merchandize at the ShopRite store in Monroe, police said.
Police say Shaun Cohen, 21, of Chester, was fighting with store security guards when officers arrived. The security guards told police Cohen bit one of them on the arm and attempted to pull the knife out, but was prevented from doing so.
Cohen was charged with armed robbery, assault, criminal possession of a weapon, petit larceny and criminal possession of stolen property.
