TOWN OF SAUGERTIES – Famed pop singer Mariah Carey’s 55-year-old
sister, Alison Carey, has been arrested by Saugerties Police on a charge
of prostitution.
Police, who listed her address as a transient, said they conducted an
undercover operation at a local hotel in the town after receiving information
that Carey was providing sexual favors for money. She was advertising
her services on the Internet and according to her posting had been working
out of the hotel for about a week.
An undercover police officer posing as a John was used to act as a potential
client, meeting with Carey resulting in her arrest.
She was remanded to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail.
According to past articles on the Internet, Alison Carey has been arrested
before for being a prostitute.
