NEWBURGH – Police in Newburgh are investigating another murder, the third this year, in the city.
Just before 8 p.m. Monday police were called by St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital emergency room staff that a man, who had sustained a gunshot wound, had walked into the hospital.
Deandric Little, 29, of the Town of Newburgh, was transferred to Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla where he died.
City of Newburgh Police are working on the case with the State Police
Major Crimes Unit, Sheriff’s and DA’s offices.
Orange County District Attorney David Hoovler said his office is also involved.
“We are following up some leads and we are following the normal protocols and hopefully we will have some people come forward with some information so we can solve the crime,” Hoovler said.
Anyone with information is asked to call Newburgh Police at 845-561-3131.
