Passenger in critical condition following I-84 crash

TOWN OF SOUTHEAST – Two Danbury, Connecticut residents are in critical condition at area hospitals following a crash on I-84 in the Town of Southeast.
State Police said at 11:46 a.m. on Sunday, the driver of a car attempted to make a lane change into the driving lane, lost control, ran off the shoulder and struck an earth embankment. The vehicle turned over and rested on its roof.
The driver was transported to Danbury Hospital and the front seat passenger was flown to Westchester Medical Center.
The State Police Troop K Reconstruction Unit responded to the scene and investigated the crash.
The names of the two injured people were not released.
