RAMAPO – A 22-year-old Spring Valley man is under arrest following
an investigation into the shooting of a woman in Hillcrest early Sunday
morning.
The victim sustained a gunshot wound to her leg and was transported to
Nyack Hospital for treatment.
Ramapo Town Police and the Rockland County Sheriff’s Office BCI
investigated and arrested Junathan McNeil of Spring Valley on charges
of two counts of attempted murder, assault, reckless endangerment and
criminal mischief.
He was arraigned and committed to the Rockland County Jail in lieu of
$500,000 bail.
A man in a vehicle at the scene was also shot at. He was not hit, but
his vehicle was struck four times. Another woman in the area was also
not injured.
