LIBERTY – Don’t let ticks take a bite out of your summer. Sullivan County Public Health Services is holding a program, “Tick Talk: It’s Lyme time!” at Morgan Outdoors in Liberty.
Participants will learn how to identify the different ticks found in the area and which ones can cause Lyme disease. They will also learn ways to minimize the risk of tick bites while enjoying the outdoors and learn ways to reduce the number of ticks in their backyards and on pets.
Public Health Educator Jill Hubert-Simon will also discuss ways to remove a tick if you get bitten, and what to do and look for after a tick bite.
The program will be held at 46 Main Street in Livingston Manor on Saturday, July 16 starting at 10:30 a.m.
