Spring Valley teen charged with attempted murder

SPRING VALLEY – The Spring Valley Police Department responded to the area of 12 N. Myrtle Av for a report of a possible robbery late alst Sunday night.  Police found an unconscious male with apparent facial and head injuries.  The victim was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital then transferred to Westchester Medical Center where he remains in grave condition.
Police developed Jiwan Coleman, 16, of 31 Seabring St., Spring Valley, as a suspect.  He was arrested late Tuesday night and charged with attempted murder in the 2nd degree and assault in the first degree.  He is being held in lieu of $3,500,000 bail.
