NYACK – Tappan Zee Constructors, the company building the new Tappan Zee Bridge across the Hudson River, will begin the final phase of construction for a New York State Thruway Authority maintenance dock this week near the new bridge’s Rockland County landing.
The work will involve partially dismantling the existing work trestle that was used to construct the northern span of the new bridge. Work will take place during daytime hours and will include installation of several pipes to support the dock’s boat slips.
Work is expected to conclude later this year.
Work is also continuing on the Thruway Authority’s new maintenance facility in Tarrytown.
