High school students arrested for bus vandalism

SOMERS – State Police at Somers arrested two Somers High School students in connection with vandalism that occurred earlier this year at Somers High School.
The two allegedly caused over $29,000 worth of damage to 43 school buses. The students slashed tires, shattered bus windows and discharged fire extinguishers.
Investigation into the January 4 vandalism at the high school on Primrose Street resulted this month in the arrests of two 18-year-old students.
On June 21, Jonas Moseby, 18, of Somers, was arrested for felony criminal mischief. He is in Putnam County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail.
On June 10, an 18-year-old youth whose name police did not release was charged with misdemeanor criminal mischief. He was issued an appearance ticket to town court.
