Newburgh school board to extend contract of superintendent

NEWBURGH – The contract of Newburgh School Superintendent Roberto Padilla, which was to expire in 2017, will be extended, the school board announced Tuesday night.
Teachers, parents and members of the community have been pushing for the extension noting the improvements in the district since Padilla took over at the helm.
A Newburgh Free Academy graduate himself, Padilla was hired by the district in 2014.
