NEW WINDSOR – The man who was fatally stabbed inside the Vails Gate ShopRite store on Saturday morning has been identified as Michael Kohus, 35, of Highland Falls.
Police said Kohus was shopping around 9:40 a.m. when another man, Andrew Goodenough, 35, of New Windsor, stabbed him in the neck.
Goddenough was apprehended about an hour later, while still in the store, and charged with murder.
Police on Monday said they have yet to identify a motive for the killing.
