MONTICELLO – A Kenoza Lake man was sentenced on Wednesday to 6½
hears in state prison and five years of post-release supervision for a
residential burglary he committed in the Town of Delaware back on October
27, 2011.
Adam Mones, 33, previously pled guilty to felony burglary and faced five to eight years in prison under the terms of the plea agreement. He admitted to burglarizing a home on Route 52 in the early morning hours.  Mones stole a number of rifles and shotguns from the home.
He was arrested following an investigation by the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office and county Probation Department.
Police recovered nearly all of the stolen weapons from Mones’ residence.
Sullivan County District Attorney James Farrell said Mones was on probation for a May 2011 felony possession of stolen property charge at the time of the burglary.
