Poughkeepsie police investigate suspicious fires in vacant houses

POUGHKEEPSIE – City Police continue to investigate three suspicious fires in vacant homes in Poughkeepsie. The fires occurred last week at 13 Harrison Street, 25 Hewlett Road and 8 Worrall Avenue.
Mayor Robert Rolison is seeking assistance from the public in catching those responsible.
“We are asking our residents or really anyone who sees any activity that they deem suspicious or unusual around vacant structures to immediately call 911,” Rolison said. “We had two fires back to back during the day and both are suspicious and are being investigated by the police department.”
