Holiday weekend traffic 12 years ago.
Nothing has changed.

GOSHEN – Now that Legoland is serious about building its third theme park in the nation off Route 17 in Goshen, Orange County Executive Steven Neuhaus said on Friday the long-talked about third lane on the highway should be added ASAP.
Traffic at certain times now is heavy and the county exec is concerned with Legoland, the Sullivan County casino and other projects, it will only get worse.
“The traffic that you see on an ordinary weekend or weekday is all points to one direction – it’s time to move to a third lane; it’s time to expedite the Harriman interchange,” Neuhaus said.  “I know everybody was celebrating that the Harriman interchange was funded but they weren’t supposed to start that for years from now.”
Several years ago, Senator Charles Schumer secured $2 million to study adding a third lane on Route 17 from the Harriman interchange to Monticello. Nothing has come of that study.
