KINGSTON – The administration in Kingston is hoping the city will be selected as the one Mid-Hudson community to win a $10 million downtown revitalization grant from the state.
Mayor Steven Noble said the Midtown area is seeing development now and the additional funds would go a long way to bring the area of Kingston to the next level.
“We have a lot of investment happening right now along our Broadway corridor and many projects in the works in Midtown and we believe this $10 million grant would be the right amount to be able to spur additional development in our city and really be able to be the glue to hold this city together,” Noble said.
The grant deadline is May 27 and the city is seeking ideas and comments from residents, business owners and stakeholders in Midtown Kingston.
