WHITE PLAINS – A man, who was a private violin teacher, voluntarily surrendered in federal court on Friday to face charges of transporting, receiving and possessing child pornography.
US Attorney Preet Bharara said due to the efforts of the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office and Homeland Security Investigations, Nicholas Szucs’ alleged illicit conduct was brought to light.
From last least 2012 to 2015, Szucs allegedly possessed, transported, and received images and videos containing child pornography using a peer to peer file sharing network to download child pornography.  Searches of an external hard drive and a laptop belonging to him revealed hundreds of images and videos of child pornography. He also attempted to have the laptop destroyed before law enforcement could seize it.
If convicted, Szucs could be sentenced to up to 35 years in federal prison.
