Report of capsized boat proves false

CROTON-ON-HUDSON – First responders received an emergency radio call Wednesday evening around 8:30 for a report of a capsized vessel in the Hudson River off Croton Point Park.
The local fire department launched their rescue boat, searched the area of the river and reported there was no craft in the river.
It turns out it was a porta-potty. The fire department’s marine unit searched and found nothing else.
