BREWSTER – Brewster resident Darwin Agirre Portillo is weighing
his options now that he won the scratch-off “$2,500 a Week for Life”
jackpot.
He bought the ticket with a random stop for gas at the Gulf station on
Main Street in Brewster.

The scratch-off game guarantees a minimum payout of $2.5 million. He opted
to take his winnings in a one-time lump sum payment of $1.39 million after
taxes.

Aguirre Portillo will weigh his options before he decided what to do with
his winnings. “I might go back to school and start my own business
sometime in the future. I’m also considering buying a new car and
possibly a house,” he said.
