First responders search for reported jumper off Bear Mountain Bridge

FORT MONTGOMERY – A number
of emergency responding agencies Sunday evening searched the Hudson River
near the Bear Mountain Bridge for a report of a person jumping off the
structure.

The call came in at around 6:30 p.m.

Several fire departments and EMS units from Orange, Rockland and Westchester
counties operated from both sides of the river.

The river search was called off at darkness.
