POUGHKEEPSIE – The Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office and County Child Advocacy Center arrested a Poughkeepsie man for the sexual assault of a child in connection with a string of incidents that occurred in 2014.
Jose Diaz, 29, was arrested on April 26 and charged with sexually assaulting a girl under the age of 13 over the course of several months. He was charged with sexual assault against a child in the Town of Wappinger and sexual abuse in the Town of Poughkeepsie, both as felonies. Diaz is in the Dutchess County Jail without bail.
