BEACON – The Schooner Mystic Whaler, Clearwater’s sister ship, has returned to the Hudson River to conduct Clearwater’s onboard educational programs and public sails.
The Mystic Whaler, based at New London, Connecticut, has been sailing alongside her every spring for the past 21 years.
The Clearwater remains in dry dock as it continues to undergo $850,000 worth of U.S. Coast Guard mandated repairs including restoration and replacement of large sections of the nearly 50-year-old wooden ship, including her hull.
Fundraising efforts continue to cover the costs of those repairs.
