RENO, NEVADA – SUNY Sullivan President Dr. Karin Hilgersom is one of four finalist candidates for president of Truckee Meadows Community College in Reno, Nevada. This is the fourth time she has applied for a job as president of another college and made it to the final cut.
Hilgersom, who has been SUNY Sullivan president since February 2013, previously made it among the finalists for president of Spokane Community College in Washington, Phoenix College in Arizona, and Illinois Central College in East Peoria.
This time, she is up against Dr. Barbara Buchan, vice president of Academic Affairs at Truckee Meadows Community College, Dr. Julie Leidig, provost of Northern Virginia Community College, and Dr. Muddassir Siddiqi, provost and chief operating officer of Morton College in Cicero, Illinois.
The Truckee President Search Committee and the Advisory Committee will
conduct face-to-face interviews with the candidates on April 28 and 29
after they each spent a full day on campus and participate in public forums.

Following those sessions, the committees will meet to determine a recommendation of a finalist to the full Board of Regents, which will review and vote on the recommendation.
