KINGSTON – An 18-year-old
male student from Shokan was arrested by the Ulster County Sheriff’s
Office for inappropriate behavior toward a 13-year-old female student
at a local school.
The defendant, whose name police did not release, allegedly sent sexually
explicit photographs and text messages to the girl and solicited nude
photos of her. He also allegedly invited the victim to have sex with him.
His name was withheld because he may be eligible for youthful offender
status.
The alleged perpetrator was remanded to the Ulster County Jail in lieu
of $5,000 cash bail.
