Drugs found in Ladstetter’s car

KINGSTON – A man in the Ulster County Jail on drug charges is believed to have arranged from behind bars for an associate to travel to New York City to obtain a large quantity of heroin.
Allen Martin, 56, of Woodstock, has been in jail since his arrest for possessing close to 1,000 decks of heroin and over $9,800 in cash.
On March 22, members of the URGENT Task Force learned that Martin had arranged for an associate, Jurgen Ladstetter, 45, formerly of Rifton, to travel to New York City to pick up drugs.
He was stopped in New Paltz in Martin’s car while driving with a suspended license. He was returning from New York.
A search of the car yielded 99 grams of powder cocaine with an estimated street value of $6,500, over 1,500 decks of heroin with an estimated street value of $31,000 and a small amount of marijuana.
It is believed the drugs were destined for distribution in the Woodstock and Saugerties areas.
Ladstetter was charged with felony drug possession, conspiracy, misdemeanor aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and the violation of unlawful possession of marijuana.  He is in the Ulster County Jail without bail.
