TOWN OF POUGHKEEPSIE – An unsupervised use of a candle is believed to have caused a fire in a Town of Poughkeepsie home Friday night.
Arlington firefighters were dispatched to 60 Nassau Road just before 9 p.m. and contained the fire with limited damage to the single-family residence. Two occupants were displaced and no injuries were reported.
Several area fire departments assisted along with town and Dutchess County emergency agencies.
Arlington Fire Chief Tory Gallante said the investigation was handled by the district’s fire inspection division.
