KINGSTON – Fire damaged
a two-story, three-family house at 105 South Manor Avenue in Kingston
early Saturday morning.
Five people were displaced as the building was deemed uninhabitable.
Deputy Fire Chief Tom Chase said the fire, which was ruled accidental
and under investigation, was called in just before 4 a.m.
The fire was confined to the first floor apartment.
One firefighter transmitted a “mayday” when he became entangled
on the second floor, but was able to free himself and was not injured,
Chase said.
