WHITE PLAINS – A Scarsdale man was arraigned Tuesday in Westchester
County Court on a murder charge in the death of his wife.

Julius Reich, 62, of 50 Lincoln Road has been charged with felony murder
and misdemeanor criminal possession of a weapon as a misdemeanor.

It is alleged that on January 20 between 8 a.m. and 10:10 a.m., Reich
entered the upstairs bathroom of his home while his wife, Dr. Robin Goldman,
was taking a shower. Using an eight-inch kitchen knife, he stabbed her
22 times in the hands, chest, abdomen and back resulting in wounds to
her lungs, heart, diaphragm, liver and kidney. She died at the scene.

After the attack, it is alleged Reich went downstairs and later called
911. Scarsdale Police discovered the victim’s body and placed Reich
under arrest.

“In what can only be described as an ambush, the defendant, as alleged
in the indictment, entered the bathroom while his wife was showering and
repeatedly stabbed her to death,” said Acting Westchester District
Attorney James McCarty. The two were in the process of divorcing, but
still living in the same house.
