Mother, two children, flown to hospital after New Windsor crash

NEW WINDSOR – A 46-year-old New Windsor mother and her two children were flown to Westchester Medical Center after their vehicle was stuck head-on on Route 747 near Stewart Airport, New Windsor Town Police said.

The crash occurred on Friday when a car driven by a 50-year-old Wallkill man crossed into the opposite lane of traffic and struck the other vehicle.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
The male driver was taken by ambulance to St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital in Newburgh.
Vails Gate firefighters, New Windsor Ambulance Corps members and State Police assisted at the scene.
