MIDDLETOWN – Plans to demolish a portion of the former Woolworth building in downtown Middletown got a financial shot in the arm from the state with a $125,000 grant.
The project will see additional parking created in the commercial corridor.
“Creating more municipal parking will boot the economic growth of our city, and local businesses will reap the benefits,” said Mayor Joseph DeStefano.
The grant was secured by Senator John Bonacic (R, Mt. Hope) as part of the State Municipal Grant program.
