MID-HUDSON – Democrat Congressman Sean Patrick Maloney (D, NY18)
and 19th Congressional District candidate Republican John Faso, have each
picked up endorsements as they seek a place on the November ballot.

Maloney has gained the backing of the Executive Committee of the Orange
County Democratic Committee. “From day one, Congressman Maloney
has been a fierce advocate for all of the citizens of Orange County and
we are excited to support the congressman for another term in the House
of Representatives,” County Chairman Brett Broge said. “Whether
he is fighting on behalf of our workers, our environment, our veterans,
or our share of taxpayer funds for local Orange County communities, the
congressman has worked tirelessly on these issues while at the same time
representing the values and ideals of members of our Democratic Committee.”

Faso, meanwhile, has won the Dutchess County Conservative Party endorsement
in his bid for the 19th District.

A former Republican state assemblyman, Faso has also been endorsed by
Conservative parties in Columbia, Greene, Otsego and Schoharie counties
and Republican backing by committees in Columbia, Greene, Sullivan, Montgomery,
Delaware, Otsego, Broome and Schoharie counties.
Dutchess Conservative Party Chairwoman Maureen Natrella cited what she
called Faso’s longstanding commitment to the district, “his
impressive fiscal record, his leadership and his understanding of policy.”
