NEW WINDSOR – Colin Schmitt has not announced formally that he is running for the State Assembly, but a second town Republican committee has endorsed him for the 99th District seat.
The Town of Cornwall GOP Committee voted to endorse him following the backing of his hometown New Windsor Republican Committee.
“The Town of Chester Republican Committee Republican decision to endorse Colin Schmitt unanimously is an indication of his hard work and determination,” said Cornwall party Chairman Alex Jamieson. “Colin has created an optimism across party lines in our town that is hard not to notice. Colin has been on the ground in Chester talking with residents, meeting with small business owners and understanding the concerns of our seniors, students, veterans and working families.”
